Prezzybox Zeugo Table Football Game

He shoots, he scores!!! All lads over the age of 25 will remember the halcian days of playing classic table games such as Graham Gooch's Cricket, Crossbows & Catapults and Risk. None however could surpass the excellence of the mighty Subbuteo. After you'd picked your favourite team, ironed your pitch, and - if you were frightfully spoilt and frightfully rich - erected your stadium, you and your buddies would merrily spend hours flicking your little men to your heart's content against your favourite opposition. True, it was devastating when you decapitated a man (taking him off at the knee caps bought a whole new meaning to the Footballing World) and let's face it, nobody actually knew the rules, but this mattered not a jot. There was not a better way to spend an afternoon. It's official. Then disaster struck. Clever old Mr Sinclair and Mr Commodore got together, developed those nasty little things called computers and before you knew it kids were spending their time waggling their joy sticks on the incantations we can only refer to 'Sensible Soccer', and 'Kick off 2' - and good old Subbuteo was resigned to the cupboard in a dusty old biscuit tin! Well fear not 'fellow football flicking fellas'. Table footy is back in a new incantation - Zeugo. Now, it's not strictly Subbuteo, but it contains all of the necessary components to allow you to relive yesteryear - namely 2 teams of 11, 2 balls (1 to play with, one for when the official match ball gets stuck behind the cooker) 2 goals and a pitch. And yes, the pitch does still need ironing. The rules of the game are simple. Set up the pitch, kick off and then try and score as many goals as possible. Obviously the rules are a little more complicated, but fear not, there's an instruction booklet detailing everything from fouls, to throw ins and corners, but to be honest you can make the rules up as you go along - that's part of the fun. Contents: 2 x team of 12 players (including 1 substitute and and a stick goalkeeper) 2 x goals 2 x balls 1 x pitch (which needs ironing) Dimensions Pitch length - 145cm Pitch width - 105cm Please note: replacement players/balls and goals are available from most major department stores.
